How to Stop Snoring Without Surgery - Can Excercises at Home Really Work.txt

For me to admit to you that I snore is no big deal. Everyone I know knows it. Especially my family. For years I thought they would just get used to it like I did growing up around my dad. He snored pretty loudly too, and never made any attempt to stop snoring. But this is an emboldened generation, unafraid of the wrath of dad. So I hear about my snoring, constantly.
I have even bought some natural stop snoring sprays. They help a little bit. Of course it is kind of hard to fall asleep with that awful taste in your mouth. And that does nothing for the impromptu dozing.
You see, I love to drift off for a nice little nap on a winter afternoon with the sun streaming in the window warming my resting place. Just me and a cat curled up in the warm sunshine.
Then just after I drift off I hear "if you're going to fall asleep, go in the bedroom and shut the door!". That takes all the fun right out of it.
So what I wanted was a natural way to stop snoring, you know, with exercises or something. I did a little research and found some. The theory they described made sense, I had to increase the ability of air to move down my throat into my lungs. In fact, just trying one simple excercise that I learned right then made my throat feel more open.
Now, before you think I am some kind of saint for wanting my family to suffer less from my snoring, the truth is that I knew I wasn't sleeping well. I would wake up in the morning feeling more tired than when I went to bed. And with the constant waking up and turning over all through the night, I knew that my snoring was the culprit.
And speaking of culprits, let's take a look at some common ones and why they do not fit me:
- Being male - Ok, that one fits
- Being overweight - 6'2", 180lbs, 34 waist - not me
- Being a smoker - Nope, can not stand the smell
- Being out of shape - I work at a desk, but excercise regularly
- Being middle aged - Well, that might fit, but what about when I was just a kid?
- Drinking alcohol - Gave it up over 15 years ago
All of that made doing excercises to stop snoring sound pretty appealing to me. And I can even do them at my desk during the day. If can get the air passages to open up more, then less snoring and sleep interruption.
This is my story so far, and I'm sticking to it. My results so far are impressive and I will write again after a longer period of time has passed. For now, I sure feel better each morning, and that is a great start.
